What not apologise and go with some dignity? You could also take the opportunity to learn what it's like to live in a modern society where machismo isn't the be-all and end-all!

You were practically in verge anyway and how you didn't hit those parked cars is beyond me. And you if you are heading down a slip road onto the busy dual carriageway with a 70 mph limit perhaps you should speed up, the lorries are going faster than you.
