My wife has advised me against wearing my bright red and bright blue shorts in public However if I wear a dark top with black shorts, I stick a Hi viz over the top as my bike is also black (only colour it came in)

So no matter what colour your bike, or your shoes, your helmet, it'll still work. Also, have you seen white shorts? That's all kinds of wrong!
