Lent trail shoes to my eldest as Parkrun is a mud bath. He got a blister on his heal due to wearing low cut socks.
"I thought expensive running shoes were supposed to stop that happening" commented Mrs D.

I had my hydration backpack on and was about 20 minutes into a long run when a car drives slowly alongside me.
“I’ll give you some advice, stop running. I used to run and I had to get [such and some other such] done.” My hearing is poor but I think he said something about hips and or knees. I don’t think that’s the first time he has said that, now that I think about it. A year or more ago a driver did and said similar. Couldn’t be more than one such person on an island of less than 10,000 people?
