Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I know pricing of properties is different in Scotland, but to see the revised price is £90000 more than original (or have I misread that?) 🤔

The Home Report (Jun 2021) doesn't make pleasant reading. I suspect this is where the £900k came from and the £810k is a price reduction due to no takers in 18 months.
From pbproduction.blob.core.windows.net
(repair category 1 is 'for info', 2 is 'think about', 3 is 'must be done or will cause more damage'

Structural movement - Repair category: 1
Notes Evidence of settlement/movement has affected the building reflected by
cracking through masonry. On the basis of a single inspection this appears
longstanding with no evidence of recent movement apparent.

Dampness, rot and infestation - Repair category: 3
Notes Indications of dampness and timber defects were evident within the property
at various locations to include extremes of rising and penetrating dampness,
an outbreak of dry rot, wood boring insect infestation and a degree of
condensation staining in parts. Prior to proceeding with an offer you should
instruct the services of a competent damp proofing/timber specialist to fully
check the property in order to comment on appropriate repairs and costings.

Chimney stacks - Repair category: 3
Notes Deterioration was noted to brickwork in parts and there is also spalled
render and vegetation growth.

Roofing including roof space - Repair category: 3
Notes Roof coverings could not be fully seen from ground level. The coverings are
of mixed vintage and incorporate a number of old pan tiles which are
damaged/dislodged and will require attention. Furthermore, the flat felt
sections will be found to have a limited life span.
Where seen within the accessible roof spaces, wood boring insect
infestation was evident to timbers and there is also a degree of daylight
showing through roof coverings which would indicate that the roof space is
liable to rainwater ingress at times

Garages and permanent outbuildings - Repair category: 3
Notes Overhaul is required to outbuildings. It was noted that the lower basement
area had a degree of standing water and this will require appropriate further
investigation and repair.
The outbuildings may contain materials with an asbestos content including
roof coverings. These have not been tested and we have not carried out an
asbestos survey on the property however these materials should be handled
by a competent contractor only.

Ceilings- Repair category: 2
Notes Cracked, damaged and uneven plaster work was evident in parts.
Staining was noted to some ceilings which will require attention.

Yeah home report valued it (scottish sstem surveyors finger in the air time/money for old rope after disclaiming they didn't check anything!) at £900k which it was originally marketed at as offers over. Clearly not sold since then and asking price reduced. 3's are not good. Should anyone wish to buy it the home report will need refreshed by seller - and a very thorough structural survey done by the buyer. If I had a spare million I don't think I'd be buying it. I like this one though (apart from road and pylon) rightmove.co.uk

Half a mil for a Paisley postcode :-O (I really like the Stirling one, though it's clearly been staged to within an inch of its life.)
