NE, I was watching the Russian TV news last night and after all the hype about the dirty bomb, they said not a word about the IAEA saying "no evidence". Colour me surprised :-)

I'm not either. Just a matter of interest (can't be bothered to look it up), what's "dirty bomb" по русски? Can't say I've come across it in text before ..... is it as simple as "грязная [ядерная] бомба"??

It's just грязная бомба, as you would expect.

It looks like the Trumpy types haven't done as well in the US midterm elex as expected. Which bodes well for continued support for Kyiv from Washington.

Another collaborator dies in a "car crash", and Russian troops are told to withdraw to the other side of the Dnipro. It's all getting rather interesting.

Looking forward to the Russian's announcing their brilliant military victory in how they're withdrawing from Kherson.

Bit of a half formed thought (Standard) Could getting and consolidating at the Crimean side of the Dinpro be more or less Russia's actual goal (for these next few years anyway). After reading prisoners of Geography they, Putin, looks to be obsessed with minimising the length of any potential front line to his west.

Having a dirty great river keeping your enemies at bay is a pretty good way to do that.

Obvs ukraine rightly want it all back and the west would be better off stretching the Russians as far a possible.
