It is part of my work to watch Russian TV, its domestic programming. It's like stepping into a parallel reality: our guys are winning the war, the other side are all Nazis and Fascists, and liberated locals are glad to see us. Hours and hours of this poisonous bullshit. Sadly, though, to those of us who have observed how Russia operates, much of what we see in Ukraine does not come as a surprise. |
