It’s going to be a few days at least before they’re taken for a spin, but the Atreyus turned up today. I really like the look of them and just from walking around the house they feel great. Probably they won’t stay that floor for long though!

The plate feels firm in comparison to the VF, so it’ll be interesting to see what they’re like in action.

Are they the EVA ones? I think they do both EVA & pebax models.

These are ‘The Artist’, which is their race shoe, and it contains what they call a ‘supercritical EVA midsole compound’. I think their base shoe (without a plate) is also EVA. I just fancied trying them out so got a pair when stock was available again, as I was too long pondering when they first came out.

One for the shoe nerds..........
Regarding the study linked above ( and also discussed in a bit more detail a few pages back ) then here's an interesting discussion with the study's lead author, Dustin Joubert.
As well as going into some detail around the study, there's some interesting discussion on running economy in general and further studies he's involved with.

Has anyone found that the carbon plate causes a friction rub on their sole? I wore my VF4% and it felt like the plate was pushing into my sole (just on one foot). Sounds odd I know.
