All of the cheering suddenly stopped, there were some shocked gasps, and a few parents moved to cover their childrens' eyes. Also heard some faster runners condescendingly chuckling at how you could hear the squelch of the Alphafly a mile away, as they pranced along in their 40mm alternatives to Alphafly.
