If you haven't been before then I would recommend the Louvre! Go inside under the pyramid to get in rather than queue outside! And get there early... Touristy stuff like the Eiffel Tower, not necessary to go up it, but being near it! A night time view from the Palais de Chaillot is super. Museum of modern art or whatever it is called is up there, as is the musee de l'homme. Both great. You must head to Montmartre and I love Père Lachaise but am a sucker for cemetries... |

I slept under the Eiffel Tower once. We hitched there from Bristol as part of RAG week. I remember sword-fighting with baguettes at about 5am. But not much more.

The best view of Paris from on high is from the Tour Montparnasse, as that view also contains the Eiffel Tower. My favourite part of Paris is Ile de la Cité and the left bank around St Michel, although I also like to take the funicular up to the Sacré Coeur and then seeing Montmartre. |

Running in the Bois de Boulogne or maybe over to the Domaine National de Saint Cloud from where you can get a great view back to the city.

Does anybody know anything (or can point me in the right direction) about eSims - the electronic SIM cards?

Oh, and there's a Foucault's pendulum in Paris, in one of the museums. Worth a visit if you like that sort of thing
