And get there early... Touristy stuff like the Eiffel Tower, not necessary to go up it, but being near it! A night time view from the Palais de Chaillot is super. Museum of modern art or whatever it is called is up there, as is the musee de l'homme. Both great. You must head to Montmartre and I love Père Lachaise but am a sucker for cemetries...

My favourite part of Paris is Ile de la Cité and the left bank around St Michel, although I also like to take the funicular up to the Sacré Coeur and then seeing Montmartre.

What are the best sites for finding flights, trains and accommodation, especially overseas.

In the UK I usually try and book directly with the business, if possible as you get the best rate that way.

I feel like Simon Calder... that's a good idea, I bet he has a website.
