Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Once I had it, it took 27 minutes GdN to GdL. I’d forgotten how much walking is involved at RER/metro stations. Train itself only took 8 minutes I think.

Anyone got Views on Marseille? I read a thing - possibly in a paper, possibly in a travel mag - about it being the new best city in the world.

I’ve never been, but always understood it to be a shithole.

I've been to Marseille, a city of two halves i would say, some very nice, lovely shops and restaurants, marina etc.
The other part serious shithole, avoid at all costs.

Oh both! That’s a good answer, thanks Matt.

Weirdly, you could say the same thing in a much smaller scale about Ipswich.

It’s an unfortunate URL. I can confirm they are Planet Rail, not Plane Trail as I’d feared.

What are the best sites for finding flights, trains and accommodation, especially overseas.

In the UK I usually try and book directly with the business, if possible as you get the best rate that way.

I feel like Simon Calder... that's a good idea, I bet he has a website.
