Looking for suggestions of a nice foreign parkrun / race weekend next year

Oh wise Fetchies...

Next year, we fancy doing a European break to include a parkrun on the Saturday and a 10K to Half Marathon distance on the Sunday.

Any good suggestions? We don't really have a lot of criteria, just good events - maybe not a huge event on the Sunday.

Lots of people at my running club went to Budapest a couple of weekends ago and loved it. I think there's a 10k on the Saturday and a half and full (with an option of a half relay) on the Sunday. Don't know if there's a parkrun though.

No official Parkruns in Budapest although on a Saturday there’s a 5k on Margaret Island.

Egmond Half Marathon in Holland, Sunday in January and squeeze in a Parkrun the day before.

Goes along the beach for a good bit to start, quite a famous race.

We did it last year.

Würzburg. wuerzburg-marathon.de 25th May. 10K and half marathon (also a marathon which is two laps of the HM.).

City centre parkrun on the riverside promenade. parkrun.com.de

Würzburg is a lovely smallish city on the River Main in far northwest Franconia (so officially Bayern.). About an hour by train from Frankfurt Airport. Expected mild weather, although when I ran the half it was unseasonably warm, hitting 29°C for the marathon tail-enders! Slightly expensive entry, not including a shirt (buying the shirt as an extra is common for Germany) but fantastically well organised with plenty of extras.

Belgium doesn’t have parkruns at the moment.

Salzburg was very nice. 10k, half and marathon on the Sunday and a really beautiful, flat parkrun on the Saturday. It’s in May.

Leiden marathon/half/10k in Netherlands, with a parkrun. Also in May, but I haven’t done that particular parkrun.

Poland has quite a few events and parkruns close by as does Italy.

Some great suggestions, thank you all.

Wurzburg could be a really good option, we'll have a look at all the options suggested.
