I take the calculators as what is your absolute best performance if you have trained to perfection and race day has perfect conditions.
With a marathon so much can go wrong very view people will get within 10-20 minutes.

Good luck Donran
ION - I ran a 20 mile training 'pb' at the weekend - just under 2h50 @8.29 pace. This was a negative split (8.40 for first 10 and 8.20 for second 10). Not all that close to 8 minute miles but I am pleased enough. 3.30 might not be achievable but a significant pb (from 3.49) certainly is...

Donran - I think you've got lost
Clare - could you remove me from the sidebar for Frankfurt. Training has been in reverse recently, and I hadn't really been enjoying it. And my debilitating case of manflu a few weeks back sealed the deal. I'll target a half or 10 miler in October/November instead.

Hard luck SM6, I was looking forward to seeing if we could both do a better job at the marathon on Oct 30th than we managed at Manchester.
You've done some cracking times over the shorter stuff since then and I hope that you get your mojo back soon

Uyuni - I would have done better than Manchester, I'm sure of it. But I know I'd get nowhere near what I was hoping for when I started training
