Havnt signed up yet but I'm targeting sub 3:30 at Manchester. Starting my long runs next week. Preparing a lot better than I did for Liverpool.

Great to see this thread gaining momentum Entries for Abingdon open next week I gather and I am seriously thinking about targeting a PB if not sub-3:30 there - bring it on!

I'll be targetting Abingdon for 3.30 for my road PB but I am going to have a stab at it at a track marathon in April but I dont count that

I'm thinking of using Abingdon to get to around 3:15 if I manage to get 3:30 at mancs. They are my two main targets for the year it think.

Whats would be a typical marathon result in relation to a half marathon time? Ive heard people say double hm time and add 10, but ive also heard people say double and add 30. Adding 30 seems a bit much really, then again, mine is double add 50, but i undertrained and had 2 weeks of freshers in the weeks leading up to it. My half time is 1:28:49, which I got at the weekend, and would like some sort of indication of whether I should push for the 3:20 mark instead of 3:30.

I'm going for 3:15 with my 1:28:57 half So I defo say aim a wee bit higher!
