Hopefully see you there then
Quite an open course so the wind, if it is up, will be an issue

Good luck both for the weekend! I hope the conditions are good. Sounds like a sensible approach, Oscar.
Plague has struck here, whole house covid-ridden. Just climbing stairs feels like a marathon today. At least it happened after marathon but disappointing for the plans I had for the next few weeks / months. Hey ho. 😷

Great day for me; please forgive me hoisting my “look at me flag”. First I had the absolute pleasure to meet Oscar The Grouch, of this parish, in the starting pen for the Newport marathon. That set a lovely chilled tone for a relatively low-key event after the hullabaloo of London and the Great South Run.
Then I ran a negative split, stress-free 3:21:25. I took it relatively ’easy’ in the windward sections and stood a little taller and enjoyed the downwind legs, with the result being a time 7 mins quicker than London.
Superflat course, tidy admin, happy days.
