Apparently I am not very good at counting. There are only four weeks between the half and the marathon but I still think it will be a good time to run.

For me, 4-6 weeks out is ideal for an all-out half.

4 weeks out is perfect as long as you don't taper too much / take too much time to recover as you don't want to be skimping on miles / sessions in those critical last few weeks of the training cycle.

Quiet time of year for marathons. Just njosmith on the sidebar between now and October and currently no-one declaring for London.... There must be a few more out there with plans - shout up if so.
Under 15 weeks to go for me now until Chicago and my pre-prep for my training block seems to have gone ok. Mileage creeping up nicely and got a bit of speed back into my legs after being slack for quite a while. Looking forward to the rollercoaster ride of the marathon build-up once again :D

Next marathon for me is Newport October 23rd. Been working on 5K speed recently Back within a whisker of my aim for the summer with a 19:02 earlier this month.

Next for me the maravan marathon but I am planning on doing the marathon on the Saturday and Sunday at the event so sub 3:15 may not be the target especially on the Sunday

Just over six weeks to go and training has been going really well but this week my right hip has been slightly sore. Possibly/annoyingly from playing football with my boy in the park after my long run on Sunday. It is fine when I run but I can feel it is tired/achey afterwards. I think I can run through it but wondering if resting for a week/few days is a good idea. I definitely like to know I have done the training miles on the day of the race so resting for a few days is making me nervous.

It’s so personal njo but I know if I had something like that, where I could run with no discomfort, then I’d be carrying on. 6 weeks out and you have built to your biggest weeks, I’d want to get those completed if at all possible.
Judge for yourself though, only you know the real level of discomfort.

WW. I would do the same.
However to answer your question on strava the absence of any runs is gone to covid.
Pretty mild but still lingering and so I am being cautious. Might try 5k tomorrow. Not of the Parkrace variety though
