I’d definitely run through it if I felt running wasn’t aggravating it too much. Ie, is it improving over time? Then no worries. Hopefully!

I would echo what jda and other have said. Providing it doesn't get worse as you run then keep going. It might be worth getting it looked at by a physio if you feel you may have some sort of tear or strain.

I had to abort a run and walk home the night before I tested positive. I was on a 225 day running streak and once that was broken its been easy to just keep resting until I am over covid Raring to go now, almost like having a taper and standing on VLM start line ![]() |

Ran again this morning and it certainly isn't getting any worse. Long run tomorrow will be interesting.

Pretty good thanks Rog T. I could feel it from around 20km but I am increasingly confident it isn't anything to worry about. Beautiful morning for a run (which is normal for this time of year).

It was the Gold Coast marathon yesterday run in perfect temperatures. It was a bit windy in Brisbane but not sure if it was similar further South. Two of my good running friends were aiming for Sub 3:15 (one going for 3:10). They are both quicker than me at 5k and 10k but I have a better half marathon time. One finished in 3:20 having been running at 3:06 pace at 30km and the other finished with 3:24. Makes me realise how tough those last few kms are and a lesson in not going out too fast.

A common tale that one njosmith, so easy to feel so good early on that you disregard your pace strategy and go too fast. Gotta be disciplined. Definitely need to get that drilled into my head for future racing.

Exactly Rog, and a mistake that quite a few of us have made. You just have to go back 7000 pages or so to find PtB saying "what were you thinking starting off that fast?".
