Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I trump most here! Total of 6 runs of 20+ and two of those were the marathons I done :)

So only 4 20 mile training runs!! You wait till I start training properly :) :)

Turns out my total is actually 100. Not sure how I got it so wrong manually counting!

Of my 35, 6 are races (2 x mara, 2 x 20m races, 2 x longer races) and apparently 1 was a parkrun (I think I ran there, and wanted my "pr" logged run count to match my parkrun tally!!)

Take 18 off, so only 90 - 18 of those were planned and not done (which means they stay in log in my world!) :-) G

Impressive jda, Average of 2h58m. Mine is way behind at 3h14m, although appropriate to this thread.

Anyone planning on running tonight in the heat? For once I used my head wisely last night (apart from deciding to run in the first place), so instead of saying "sod it" and just suffering with a ridiculous HR, I ran in the heat to the HR instead.

Instead of coming back a sweaty mess, I just got back 5 minutes later than I would usually, with a sensible 137bpm average. Climbing up a moderate incline at nearly 12min/miling just to keep the HR under 145 isn't my normal approach, but it certainly made running in the heat more appealing.

I'm not posting this as some sort of revelation to you all, more as a reminder to myself that if I take a sensible approach I don't need to fear the heat.
