Lakeland 100 is def harder than WHW. 50%? e.g. a 24 hour WHWer could expect to take 36 hours on Lakeland 100. Lots of climb! Good luck Stoo with training and the race next year.

So... how did it go for riggsy at Rother? Reports please! :-) G

😁G doing the taper madness for you there riggsy 😉

Yesterday was what they claim as the toughest section of the course. From what I've been told is to add about 6hrs onto whw time as a guide but as we all know, things can happen on the day out with our control so just have to get myself to the startline in the best possible shape and go from there!

Riggsy-I messaged the organisers and they said a final decision will be made on Thursday but it's looking likely it will go ahead.

I've seen a veritable menagerie of man, beast and god in my various attempts at the Lakeland 100 :-o

Last week I ran for 5 days in a row and didn't break. Only a 35 mile week, but at least I can string a few days together again. Patience...

Sounding positive KinkyS hope it continues.
I think the race will go ahead Ian5 the flood waters on Woodhouse washlands just before Rother Valley have gone and the park is open as normal. Only things i can see causing a cancellation are problems with parking due to the grass and any damage done to the path around the lakes by the flooding

You doing the race of it goes ahead

Such as shame about flooding down in England. Hope your race isn't too badly affected guys.

Kinky, that's good news. Hope you're able to get back to full distance asap. :-) G
