Voterised. Don't think the outcome is in much question. Only election I'm happy with in recent memory!

Chris, maintain the confidence. Furman leaves you feeling fresh which is a good thing. Whether volume was enough if a function of what you did with your cross train, as the running alone in Furman is insufficient. I'm sure you've done plenty though. Mental positivity is important at this stage. Very best of luck. I'm sure you'll do brilliantly. :-) G

Have a wee look at my 2011 Lochaber blogs - before and after, including a wee review of Furman.

fetcheveryone.com/blog/13263/2011/4#blog240533

I got a PB (just a wee one) and a lovely comment from lots of you, even from our Father of the Thread, paul the builder:

"Great race Gav, congrats on a big breakthrough - not the 2.5min PB, but the 2.5min PB and only running half the volume now! ... And I'm not having a go at Furman here, because my impression of Furman has net gone up as a result of this. But facts are facts, running *is* better training. Just maybe not by as much as I thought ;-) "

As ever with paul, a bit of constructive criticism included, even within the praise! :-) G

That's quite a long time ago, but I reckon it would have been pretty tricky for my impression of Furman to have gone down at that point :-) I'm a little bit more open-minded now.

Fresh is good. All the best Chris.
