Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Manchester marathon was fantastic, weather close to perfect and I managed to knock 12mins off my pb for a 3:14:00. Really happy with how training went and that i was able to hang on the last few miles when it got tough.

Well done to Uyuni.

And Will-Uyuni, never say never, but it is a choice a bit about finding the right (and possibly boring!) marathon to do your best time at. If you're going overseas for the social it may not lead to best race result, but I'm sure it's a great weekend! Well done anyway. :-) G

Nice racing MKH :-)

Uyuni, I agree with HappyG ,getting the best marathon out can be a gradual process and also for some it takes a while to get it right before some big improvements come along. Your day will come

Some great running in Manchester.

FWIW Uyuni, my best sub 3.15 opened with 3x 7.30 miles. A little tweak and a cooler day and I’m sure you’ll get it.

Congratulations MKH.

For those of you who remember RusselW who used to be on this thread, he had a fantastic run at Manchester, didn't quite get his sub-3 but came in just over 3:01. Thought you guys might like to know :)

Oh thanks M_N. Is he not on Fetch any more. Yeah, we were side by side in an XC a couple years ago and we said hi. Well done to him, was that a mara PB then? 3:01 a great time. :-) G
