Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done Russell. I have never run a 3:01.

I suspect I will do well in the sub 3:15 bingo. I think the only others I am missing for the full house between 3:00 and 3:14 are 3:07 and 3:11.

3:02, 3:05, 3:09, 3:11, 3:12 x 2, hmm, thought I had a 3:13 and a 3:14 but apparently I don't like cutting it fine! :-) G

I also have a 16, 17, 19 and a couple of 20s. Never run an actual 3:15 though.

Well run MKH, great stuff.

Hard lines Uyuni. Tell me you weren't dressed like your profile pic though; otherwise a lot of the over-heating would be self-inflicted :-)

Ha ptb. No that was my first marathon in London in 2015. Lovely cool day for a even split 3.32 - probably my best ever marathon given as I was new to running - I seem to be getting worse at them!

Thanks for the kind words. Loved the weekend and the race as an event. Not desperate to have another go but will doubtless be up for it next year. In the meantime now to attack the short stuff and try to get a sub 1.25 HM in the autumn

Regulation vest and shorts yesterday plus a cap in a desperate attempt to get some shade - the course is very open so no respite from the sun at all

I woke up this morning with what felt like the start of a cold. I guess if there was a time to get a cold ,now is perfect as it will be clear through before VLM. However after my run to work the cold feeling has abated, so might be OK.

I had a 2 week cold before VMLM 2013 and just treated it as an uber taper, if you recall Bazo. Missed my last intervals (3 x 1 mile) from P&D. And had wanted to do a 5km time trial too, but missed that. Didn't do me any harm at all! :-) G
