Gus, followed the clipboard to your training entry for it. Flat, some farm track terrain, you neg splitted. That's good enough for me. I will use it as a wee blast pre marathon, and not stress if I don't hit exact 10K pace that I'm looking for but just enjoy it as a stretch out and good chance to push myself. Good race day prep.

Ill isn't good. Look after yourselves 3:15ers! :-) G

:-)G East Neuk 10k - nice and flat, Fetch measured it as 60m elevation, so 10m per mile :-) I also measured it slightly short at 6.13miles rather than 6.21

There's about 2km of it on farm tracks, so if there'd been a lot of rain it could be muddy and puddles, which might slow you down a bit, but was bone dry the year I did it, so no probs.

An out and back course, so get to see everyone else around the turn. Think it was a club Grand Prix event that year, so there was a few of us over for it.

Brilliant, thanks Gus. Only 10 quid, so I've entered anyway. :-) G

Indeed, sorry to hear about the bouts of illness Gus, CW. Sometimes it can come from pushing a bit too hard in training but often it's just bloody bad luck. Good luck on the recovery.

I am going to run the gauntlet and push things the next week or so before I finally get a chance to have a few days of training disruption on holidays. I am very worried that Daz is going to set a very fast marker for me at the Colby parkrun this weekend as I was planning to head there in a couple of weeks time!

Gus - I think I misadvised you - wouldn`t be the first time I did this - I recently visited Loch Rannoch and what I remember as a perfectly flat course does exist, except just for the last bit between Kinloch Rannoch and the campsite, not much more. No mega climbs but bobbly. My memories got skewed by one photograph taken of my mother and father cycling along a perfectly flat section of road with Loch Rannoch in the background - loved that photo. I think it was my first camera too. If only all of life was as simple.

WW - I will give it a good crack!

Me and 9yo are having a little battle whilst down here. Who can finish highest position in our parkruns! He came 4th Sunday at the Junior one so have a challenge on my hand! He is doing again this week and thinks that now he knows the course he can push up a place or two!

No probs gluco - I cycled it a few months back before I entered to check it out. Seemed ok on a bike, but may be different on foot !!

WW - Surely you'll obliterate Daz's time if you wear the magic shoes!
