WW - hope you enjoy your new shoes! I have seen some comments about them not being very durable, not lasting many miles - as well as feeling wonderful to run in, springy and fast. I'd be interested in any comments you have on them.

We had a look at those 4% shoes whilst we were in London. They are light and do look almost hoka-esque. At £199.95 for the ladies version, I couldn't justify them. Though if Stoosh bought a pair I could then have justified The Jimmy Choos I almost bought for our wedding.

Having a bit of a mojo dip at the moment despite some good performances at shorter distances - course PBs or near misses on PBs etc. After a run (excuse the pun) of several weeks of good long runs the last couple have seen either a shorter run or last weekend no long run. I have been feeling a bit run down generally & my PF has been a bit niggly so think my 3:15 dreams may have to be shelved for Spring 2018. At the moment I think I'd be happy if I could go sub 3:30.

Jovi - jealous of your trip to WC. Enjoy. (And Lou, glad you enjoyed! Who else has been / is going?)

Re. mojo, sounds more like you are a bit sort / tired. Rest would be a good idea, obv. When you are fresh again, then I'll shout at you, "GO DO YOUR LONG RUN!" but for now, prob a bit of R&R is more appropriate?!

Think I'm doing a plod up the hills tonight with club. Been lovely weather, hope it holds. Good 17 with 12 MP run at weekend, but left me a bit tired. Rest day Mon, and just short commute runs yesterday. This is a cut back week, but it's got first intervals of plan tomorrow. And I think I'm doing a 22 on weekend, because next weekend I have a half, so wouldn't manage the 22 then. Plan jiggles moon ! :-) G

Managed a decent ten miles today and it's a bit cloudy and not as warm which helped. The ankle seems 100% which is good news.

Really not sure about WC as an appropriate short version. I mean for the World Champs. If you have to do a WC in `there`, well, that`s just too long a time in my books.

Lol gluco. I genuinely had no idea what you were talking about there. All about context, isn't it?! WC can only mean World Championships in my vocab at the moment.

Someone told me they'd got rid of the tick that they had last night. As a hill runner, who runs in heather and ferns and has a concert about Lyme disease, my only thought was, "Good, their bite can be really nasty, and serious if carrying infection." He was repairing his bike and getting rid of an annoying noise from the crank.

Hill runner vs. road cyclist! :-) G
