Good luck both.

Your recent marathon PB Mark certainly suggests you're due a decent HM PB.

Cheers, Nelly. It'll be tight so let's see how that particular training block goes once I start it.

Mark J 🇳🇿 I think you have a strong chance after your amazing marathon.

I've mentioned it on another thread before but I'll also be aiming for sub 90. Great Eastern Run 13th October. I did do an unofficial sub 90 attempt this spring at the Fleet half. Felt good until about mile 9-10. Realistically didn't feel I was ready for it but gave it a go anyway. Seeing everyone else's great marathons has inspired me to be consistent with training!

I did the Great Eastern Run and may do it again if I get to the end of track season health, in shape and not too knackered. It is a good course for a PB attempt.

Good to hear it is a PB potential course. That was one of the reasons I picked it. Stay healthy and maybe see you there!

Sounds promising for you both.
Coastal half is not a PB course but a fairly quick course. Not done sub 1:30 on it but feel I if the wind plays ball. Normally end up running into it last 2-3 miles.

Thanks peanut. The Great Eastern used to be my local when we lived in the UK. And until last year it was my PB course. Flat as and quick.

It's pretty good for travelling to as well, the Park Inn hotel is half a mile from the start so can go back and forth before the start pretty easily. There are other pretty close options as well.

OK, seems like I've stupidly volunteered to run a 2 person marathon replay in 7 weeks time. So, best put me down for a PB and sub 1:30 attempt as I'll still be reasonably fit off the back of the last marathon and I'm about to start a threshold improvement block, as well. So Saturday July 7th, Monaca Mid Winter Marathon, 2 person x HM. Monaco, New Zealand.
