I’m sticking with WSW, it makes sense for me as a mileage runner! I don’t really have to do much so far!
Also I’d like to know how far your streak savers are? If I fancy a quiet day I tend to run 5k!

I can't play WSW with any sort of seriousness as I can access less than 50% of my grid. I do still play in a passive fashion though.
I use FetchPoint to help me decided whether to turn left or right out of my gate.
For me, a streak saver is a slow mile. I feel it neither adds nor detracts from the rest of my training. I've been able to train for marathons and Ultra's while streaking without problem.

Easy run of 2 miles just done now for day 336.
Limegreenjelly, it all depends on how I'm feeling, what the weather's like - 5k, 2 miles, minimum 1 mile if I'm truly broken!

LGJ in the early days of streaking I had a lot of 1 mile savers. Currently, with my additional GPS art challenge tends to be at least 2 miles. Fetchpoint bug disposal is one of my motivations that helps.

Fragile Do Not Bend
A lot of my streak savers are a mile too. The last couple of weeks they’ve been around 1.5 miles to protect “my” WSW squares in the multimatch.

LGJ, I’ve got a local loop of just over a mile that I’ve used as a streak saver on a couple of occasions. Otherwise my shortest regular route is just 5k. Basically whatever seems enough of an effort to you to count: your streak, your rules!
