Good news but it’s given me anxiety issues as it’s not how I thought I would do it but I can see it makes sense so it eeks my money out till I get the state pension. It would then give me a great pot to do whatever with.

I ended up leaving teaching earlier than originally planned and also had anxiety about eking money out. It all worked out in the end.

LG you'll be surprised how 'eking' is preferable to the stress of working ;-) Take some time to think though, before you make your final decision. A list of pros and cons can help to reassure you you're doing the right thing...

...And when you've made up your mind ;-) how about a trip south - we could have a special Fetchie meet somewhere to celebrate :-)

You can’t beat a budget. I still worry about money but deep down I know I don’t really need to because the budget never lies.

My retirement date may well be bought forward, I had news today that my job share colleague is leaving at the end of July, I am not prepared to travel down Stress Rd again.

I knew it was a strong possibility that they might leave once studies were completed Ness, seems my manager knew from the start, I am about ready to go anyway, would just have been nice to have the income for a few more months.
