One of our neighbours told my wife he retires on Friday. I guess he is a year or two older than me and not yet sixty. Part of his rationale was two people he knew who had recently passed away at similar ages.

I had a conversation about that with my sister. I am planning on retiring once I am done healing cancer. I cannot really afford it, yet I can! As I cannot take it with me into the grave! I was "told off" for wanting to install a sauna, "above my means" as on benefits, but I have an ISA with the money in for completing my building. Things have changed, so I think there is enough in there for a sauna as well... It would greatly enhance my health and wellbeing, £3,500 well spent! |

Argument not with my sister, she agrees about spending it before it is too late... This person thinks it is wasted, as my death is imminent... |
