We often wake up but spend a good few hours in bed in the morning if we can reading news, drinking coffee, chatting, watching the birds and having a laugh. Luxuriating about getting out is the best thing about being retired ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜

Flatlander
When I was still working, I got up at 5:30am, unless I was already up from an earlier call out.
Now I am retired, I have a lie-in until 06:10. ;-)
I have to make my own breakfast. :-p

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
I always get up before Jigs, when he is on day shift that means 5:40am, I know he appreciates me getting his breakfast and doing his pack up, I canโ€™t see that I will stop doing that when I retire.

5km_is_plenty
Is it just me, or as you age, you need less sleep?

When in my twenties I needed 8+, now a bit older six is plenty.
