Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I didn't run run and I didn't swim swim and I didn't bike bike today. I did core. Where's the icon?! porkpie?! kingkong etc.

60 mins down the gym - hip stretches, side plank 60s each side, 60 sit ups, adductor squeezes 3 x 20s, leg drops 2 x 20 each leg, push ups on wobble board, curls on wobble board, shoulder presses on wobble board.

I believe this will make me a stronger runner! :-)G

Right! Let's start this up again shall we?

Suffered really badly during TR24 with a very sore lower back, which I'm pretty sure was down to a weak core.

So, I'm going to start off nice and easy with 3 x 10min sessions per week.

Who's with me? :-)

I was only thinking about bumping this thread earlier this week! :-)

I'm going on holiday in 10 days time, but once I return one of my focuses for the remainder of the year will be to add consistent core work.

I'm thinking about signing up for Kinetic Revolutions "30 Day Challenge" kinetic-revolution.com which I believe(?) includes examples of core exercises as well as running form techiques. Has anybody else tried this?

Yep, me. 3 x 10 minutes per week - no reason not to fit these sessions in.

When I have been doing core work, and I confess that this has not been so common post Comrades, I try to vary it, as I have done Core H so many times. There is a new Coach Jay route that is Core X - more dynamic core work and a tougher workout, but shorter.

Think I will do, core H once a week, a slightly more chilled 10 min Pilates routine once a week and also a standing core routine once a week as well.

Might go have a look at the core X one too.
