If your like me you will be well aware of how much strength and core work helps your running performance but just find it hard to motivate yourself or get round to it. I just done a session and when I uploaded it realised it had been nearly two months since last session. Not good enough frankly but I know I will be good for two or three weeks at least now and then begin to drift off again. Plan of this thread is for people who find themselves in the same boat to give mutual support and swap ideas and plans etc. I was thinking I could start a group and, if people are interested in it, once we have a few members I will start to pair people up to give each other exclusive support and motivation. Myself and Liliaicha have given each other a bit of stick at times on the 1500 mile thread and it certainly helped me when I knew Lil was watching. That's about it really, hope at least one other person joins me.... |

As I am crocked I MUST do something, and core work is something I need to work on anyway! I often do these: beginnertriathlete.com Don't be scared that it is a triathlete site! It's a nice selection of exercises with diagrams too. I do get kinda bored of these, so if anyone else has any good sites I'd like to have a look |

Blimey, they are very advanced Core work needs to focus underneath the superficial rectus abdominals which is what crunches target. So the transversus abdominus and obliques as well as small back muscles for endurance. Will see if I can find some links.....
