Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Same here - I would do a med ball routine but did not regard it as core. It was certainly preferable to planks!

Hi Lil, I only use the med ball when I'm training with my PT, so it does depend on what he brings along with him. I think it's mainly an 8kg one, although we have used lighter and heavier than that too.

We did kettlebells this week and a lot of our warm up was about standing core exercises too. I've always considered them to be beneficial exercises, but had thought they were more about working legs or upper body. Now I really get that they're good core focus too, particularly with the twisting movements.

Did an hour on Wednesday of core and upper back and arms. Don't feel too bad today. Yesterday was a bit of a sod.

Hope the lack of action on here is not indicative of our efforts with the core and strength work, remember the old saying 'core work is for life not just post-Christmas' :-)

Enjoyed pilates on Tues. And bodypump on Mon. Physio at hospital said that my knee problem (popliteal cyst) is probably not worse because my core strength and general flexibility are good. And cross training has kept aerobic capacity up. So core + cross = injury avoidance and maintaining fitness if you do get injured. Keep up the good work folks! :-)G
