Tallest - about 7 feet Highest! (about 5 feet tall) Shortest (but very pretty, less than a foot) And my guerrilla sunflowers (not quite at their peak)

I've been staging a kind of unintentional experiment in how high a sunflower will grow from a tiny growing area. The answer appears to be pretty tall, but tiny-headed. If i get organised, there may be a picture.

Mine didn't get very tall and only tiny flowers that have just about finished. Next year I'll get some fresh seeds and feed them...and maybe even plant them in the ground (as I tend to grow them in pots).

Someone in our town has pots of dwarf sunflowers with big heads. I'm tempted to knock on the door and ask what variety they are. My dwarf sunflowers last year were mostly greenery with unexciting flowers.
