Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I got a Goji berry plant as a free gift when I bought rasperry canes a few years ago. It's a bloody nightmare! I thought I'd dug it up, but it had escaped under the fence. I cut it right down last autumn and it's now waving at me over the 6ft fence again. It has nasty sharp spikes too. It does have the occasional berry, but not worth the hassle for!

My tallest sunflower is 50 inches now.

Mine is about my height, the tallest one is definitely the one I repotted first! The 2 in smaller pots dry out super fast and have been attacked by snails

My tallest one is a touch over 160cm. One of the self-sown ones has a fully open flower too - don't recall them flowering in June before.

Disaster!

My tallest so far has flowered.
Measured from the soil it's 136cm

Maybe it's the heat and constant sun that has brought it out early? We're in the 30's most days now. I'm not feeling hopeful for the others

Last off, first out! Plant some more, Trin, two months to go. Commiserations for your weather ;-) B-)

The earliest I have seen sunflowers in bloom was March, in Malta. Meanwhile the greenhouse was only 15°C in the middle of the day, in the supposed height of summer, here.
