Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pip just came inside exclaiming that we had to come and look at something QUICKLY! Turns out o e of the sunflowers has flowered. It's not even reached chest height on him. He's about a metre tall (Pip, rather than the pathetic sunflower).

This morning. Reshuffled the greenhouse and moved to tallest ones to the apex. Tallest is around 170cm and the next two around 160. Those two look about to flower.

One thing it's shown me is that sunflowers can grow quite well in not much below. The tallest are in small to medium pots, but the ones to their right are still in bedding trays about 5cm square. Maybe 130cm, but smaller leaves.

(Also in shot to left, two grapevines and a kiwi vine. Outside, a sprawling goji plant, evicted to make room.)

Have you ever had berries off the Goji. My in-laws bought me a Goji bush about 15 years ago (when they were the latest fad) and it’s never done anything apart from sit looking stupid.

Only got it last year. It's certainly grown, and grown, but nothing else. Same with the kiwi, although it looks better. Picked a couple of small bunches of grapes last year.
