The last time I grew sunflowers they got blown all over the garden in their little pots for a couple of weeks while we were on holiday, but didn't seem to come to any permanent harm from the experience.

Twop twip: save your sunflower pots from getting blown over by growing them lying down
Mine are staying in the greenhouse meantime. Rather windy up here for next two-three days. I've also planted a second kind. Coming up well, but under attack! Grrr!

I've got quite a few self-seeded from last year, and they seem to be taller so far than the ones I sowed in neat rows. Tallest one is 60cm at the moment.

My tallest is about 40cm, I think. But most of the rest are closer to 10cm!!!
