I've just had a mooch about and there appear to be millions of rides around Ballater/Aboyne. There was chat this weekend about a weekend away there in October.

Cool, sounds good. Yeah, got Trailforks. I'll maybe have a play with it more. I did notice a cool feature where you can link trails together.

The Fungle / Firmounth roads (vicinity of Mt Keen) are excellent. Well, they used to be but it's been a decade since MrsC and I were up there on bikes. We started our routes from Glen Tanar Estate (near Aboyne).

I expect there's probably even more routes around there these days.

Halfpint - lots of climbing yeah, but amazing to ride up that fault line. I have way too much on my to do list.

Anyone going to Twenty four 12 in Newnham park at the end of the month? I shall be there but not riding. XC Nats the weekend before. Planning to spend the week in between looking at SW trail centres and marking them off my list. Quite an interesting range of options.

The PoD told me he was off to Newnham for the 24.
I was planning on a day trip on the Saturday of the Nats to cheer on the Vets and Masters but all up in the air atm as family may be visiting. Haven,t been there since a Grundig World Cup event in the mid 90s when I spent the event looking thru a lens.
