I have a nice pair of heels but only use cleats.
I can't imagine using flats even had spds on the Brompton

Like megster I have spiky pedals (which nicely shred the leg under the 'right' circumstances) and a pair of trail shoes. That does me fine at the moment. I guess it's what you're used to. I don't know any different.

Adidas have taken over five ten and are now using their sticky rubber. Other half got a pair over Christmas and is pleased with them so far. Uses them with spiky pedals. My 10 year old had the full spiky pedal shredding experience recently, thought she'd broken something the noise she made.

I use to ride a lot in 5.10 and Saint pedals and never really liked it and went back to clipless. On the other hand two mates ride solely in flats and one even rides his CX with flats.
