(Not really the thread for it, but all gov depts have been the same, telling the public something at the same time the industry finds out)

Interestingly my niece had size 8 feet at 15 and is now size 6.5 at age 39. Not that freakishly uncommon apparently for girls. Worth hanging on to shoes as a result

Sigh
That's interesting Dipps, thanks. In this instance I suspect it's permanent as both Jo and her mum also have size 8.

That's really interesting Dipps. I've had huge feet since early teens (8-9) but the girls (14 and 16) seem to have settled at 6-6.5. I'd hate them to end up with feet the size of mine. It's incredibly hard buying nice shoes over size 8.

I hated having big wide feet as a teen. Decided just to wear boots instead of shoes. Definitely more choice now, Hobbs are surprisingly good for size 42s (though maybe not teen friendly!)

Daughter is 14 and size 5 so probably not heading for my proportions.

Bloody hope school is back to normal in September.

Sad day here. It should have been the Leaver's prom tonight, we've known for ages it was cancelled but there was a hope it could be rescheduled but that isn't happening now. The head teacher emailed a lovely letter though and has told us how to get the money refunded. I admit I'm more upset about it than my teen, he has already moved on. He's now looking forward to uni with virtual fresher's week 😔.

Youngest turns 17 today. We can't go anywhere or do anything. So it's homemade Pizzas for tea :-)

It's different this year, that's for sure !

Both my boys weren't bothered about their prom, either MrsS, although Callum did go to his, they hold it in Feb as a joint leavers prom/Burns supper. They'd much rather be at home playing computer games.

Daughter has heard from Loughborough that they are planning to keep as much face to face teaching as possible, it’s likely to be large lectures that will be online. No talk of ‘bubbles’ yet but for now she’s registered for the accommodation info.
