Hiya
Back in after being AWOL most of the week
Sounds like Vrap ran well, I'll read back too to see what everyone else has been up to
Had a few days down on the south Welsh coast so some coastal walks, some hill work on uneven ground plus gym, sauna, hot tub and too much eating & drinking!

What - 12 miles trails
Why - easy mooch with some locals
last rest - Friday : sore throat, blocked sinuses spread to the chest so took the sensible decision not to run..
last hard - running yesterday and today with aforementioned heavy chest
lyric - not sure

good evening!
ran/walked/slid through the marathon today (so much mud!! some real spicy parts). Came dead last in 5h53’29” but that’s faster than the 6hours I gave myself! (Ultra runners were still out but I had my own “sweeper bike” most of the way, accompanying the last marathoner).

The muddy stretches made it really hard, my lower back was wondering what was happening (stabilizing muscles, hello!), and it did slow me down significantly later too because it ate a ton of energy early in. But I got round. Happy! Also got €1268 for the Cancer fighting charity, so well chuffed all around.

I can already let you know I won’t report a run tomorrow 😹

Fab work @tinebeest :)

and a really good run from @Velociraptor too :)

What: about 19 miles of 'power hiking' with the odd jog thrown in, LDWA event with much less mud than normal - even the ploughed fields were almost dry. Sympathise with the stabiliser muscles complaining though Tinebeest - just rutted and uneven tracks and slippy grassy descents did for me and mine.

Why: regular time on feet outings and cheep and cheerful events to keep some endurance in my joints is the plan until longer runs gain in the spring

last hard - that was.

Lyrics - no, but I do remember the song on googling

What - just over 9 miles with 1 lap of the maravan course in lower end of zone 3 HR
Why - a week to race day

Last hard - a bit ago
Last rest - Saturday

Thanks for asking but not particularly painful unless I jar my leg but injured left leg feels below normal strength. Did strength work on it before and after run that felt better after run.
