The bostons are now a carbon plate aren't they? I used to race in them pre carbon, was never brave enough to go for the Adios.

The Boston 12 are fine shoes for faster training runs, but they are not racing shoes. I like them. They're good shoes. Just not fast enough for races. |

I guess it could work in the same way some people couldn't deal with old school racers previously. I imagine it's more stable than the pure racing models given it isn't it has lightstrike combined with the lightstrike pro (similar to what Nike did in the past by adding react with ZoomX).

What are peoples thoughts on the original adizero pro carbon - I'm not in the position to pay a lot for a new pair of supers but I can get the originals for a decent price.

Save your money. The Boston 12s you have will be better.

I presume you're talking about this: startfitness.co.uk To further expand on my comment, it's not a supershoe, it's basically a standard racer with a plate thrown in. It doesn't have a supercritical foam (for Adidas that's lightstrike pro). It's a shoe that essentially treats the plate as the important component when it's about the interaction between the cushioning and the plate which is needed to stabilise the high stack and soft supercritical foam. |

Cheers - I'll stick to the Bostons I still have a pair of Boston 8s that must have well over 1500 miles on them that look and feel great. I pull them out now and again when the achillies are playing up - 10mm heel drop helps. I skipped 9, 10 and 11 but love the 12s. |

2nd 20 miler of this build up for me today, felt a bit stiff from the off after a 14 mile double yesterday so decided against trying to add much effort to the run. Parked up near Rother Valley country park, ran the 6 or so miles along the Trans Pennine trail to Poolsbrook country park, stuck in 3 miles at 6:30s there, then back on the linking trails to Rother Valley. It’s a really nice route that links the 2 and I picked to run there as I thought it might have been a bit easier on the knees. Planned to do 3 more at effort back at RV but only managed 2 then 2 miles steady to bring up the 20. Feel I’m back on track after the knee pain of a 10 or so days ago (ran less than 25 miles last week), I’m still aware of something there but it’s a 2 or 3 out of 10 and if I can get through the next week I think it’ll continue to improve. |
