Little Miss Happy "enjoy it" that's the best approach as I'm sure you know already.

That's got to be my main plan too. If it feels manageable maybe an Autumn attempt will follow.

Sub 3 @ v50 would feel good too if I can build (and stay goal focused) over the next 3 years...

I'm sure it's the consistent consistency rhb and you'll get there if you can keep going.

1.29 out 1.29.30 back. Was a lot less stressful once I ditched the bun fight behind the pacer! Really warm by the end

Congrats Matty on a brilliant run and some magnificent pacing. That last mile must have felt awesome!

I’m sure that there is much faster to come if you want it. But for now, enjoy it!!

Thanks guys, I just wanted to be sure I went under and it was nice to feel relatively comfortable. If there is a next time, I'll give myself some licence to push on.

Back to the long picnic pace on the trails for the summer now.

That looks like a great performance Matty, you must be very pleased at how it went.

Whether you push on to test your limits or not, you’ve ticked that box. Some people decide one is enough and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I went for an easy 10k jog yesterday and my knee was grumbling after. It’s not very sore but I think it’s just as well I binned the marathon, I wouldn’t like to be stressing over balancing out mileage vs injury risk. I’ve mostly been doing a bit of gentle cycling instead which seems to avoid aggravating it.

Sorry to hear that your knee is still giving yoou grief jda. Whilst mine are currently swollen and being niggly during the day they are currently ok whilst I run.

Managed my LSR this morning so at least it's not hanging over me with the worsening weather forecast.
