Ok that sounds good, anyone know when they usually release the rest?

Don't know precise dates, sorry. But if it helps they did the exact same thing last year with their pretend scarcity, and then released another batch of tickets in the January.

Physio last night. As suspected my left adductor was probably trying to compensate for my back. Quad and hamstring had spasmed to protect it which was a big part of the problem walking as once they were loosened off and the adductor given a going over it was less painful and restricted. The left side of my back was very ouchy - had to remind myself not to swear and to breathe at times! I have some exercises (which I will do religiously) and am encouraged to walk which I should hopefully be able to do properly quite quickly. We went through what I could and couldn't do at the gym so I have no excuse not to make that happen (though it's so time consuming compared to running - due to travel - and nowhere near as enjoyable). Best case scenario is that running could be happening in a week.

Very frustrating LMH but you have a route to recovery.

I always feel mentally better after the physio (I've been several times this year) as then at least I have a plan of action, and something I can do (rather than not do).

Me too damo. Gives a bit more certainty and control I think.

Hope you recover quick LMH, it sounds like you’ve got a good plan to get you built back up and out on the mean streets again!
I’ve had an unplanned mini break from running, bit of a cold that dropped to my chest, coupled with a half-term trip to Dubrovnik.
I could have run today but walking loads and lots of steps mean I’ve no real appetite for it - I’ve ran once in 9 days, last Saturday, when I foolishly thought 4 days off with the lurgy would result in a similar rest to a mini taper. My 5k solo time trial lasted all of a mile before a jog home feeling far worse for getting out. From Sunday the cold had definitely dropped to my chest and only now really starting to feel like I’m close to over it.

Thanks for the responses a wee while back WW and JDA. I think I knew it deep down, and just needed to hear it from someone else. I've bitten the bullet and am now into week 2 of the fuller fat P&D plan. Hopefully commitment levels will survive the dark nights. A surprisingly comfortable York 10 mile to round off week one in just under 1.03 so hopefully something to build on...
