LMH just use running as you need to and don’t push it you’re head isn’t in it. Really sorry to hear your news, it takes time but things do get better.
Great running skr, I was tempted to enter Boston this week but managed to hold off

Can you just enjoy it as a day out/jog round LMH? I'm also unsure how much of an effort I'm going to make, but I'm pretty committed to taking part at some level. I don't usually do the "just taking part" thing but did run a local marathon in May that wasn't too serious (under 100 people) and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think I'd have to give it my best if I pinned a number on jda - and I'm not sure if I can cope with being disappointed again at whatever that best turns out to be. I haven't totally discarded the idea though as it does mean a night staying at a friend's, a change of scene and of course the opportunity to carb load...........

LMH - why not use it to tinker with race tactics? Maybe halfway a bit more comfortable (1:30 or whatever) hold that or slightly faster to 20, then you have a nice generally downhill 5 miles or so at the end to pick people off?
