LMH - Shouldn't be too bad (hopefully). 45 minute flight followed by a 45 minute train ride. Not usually as simple as that though!

Good to hear the lurgy is striking at the right time. I’m hoping you don’t have it jda?

Last mlr for me today, was out at 6.15am and normally my legs don’t want to play that early in the morning. However they felt good and I even pushed on to MP at the end which was a nice boost.

Not looking forward to Saturdays 10k solo effort tho.

It's the getting to the airport and waiting around, clearing the airport at the other end etc that always seems to make it take so long I find Fordy.

Glad to hear you had a good run Chris, we could all do with a confidence boost now and again.

He's a year older than me Brunski but has only really been running seriously for about a year (my bad influence, before that it was 2-3 times a week if he felt like it and racing HM from a long run of 10 miles). Physically he's definitely capable - he can run a progressive 20 with me finishing with an average of 7.30 min/miles but seems to struggle to do the long runs on his own (even though I encourage him to run them more slowly than that obviously). He has been running a 20 most weeks all year though and peaked with four weeks of more or less 60 miles but it's his head that might let him down - and I haven't offered to pace him at Boston:-) I'm hoping he can find a group running an even paced 3.15 to sit in with - and remember all that I've told him of course!

Definitely feeling better today than yesterday thanks Chris, though that isn't hard. Legs seem to be coming back to me a bit, it's hard to judge with many of my usual routes with sections of water too deep for me to want to risk running through and the others (i.e. the trails I was on this morning) being muddy and slippery. Right knee (which is usually the better one) was complaining this morning but I think that's mostly the mud causing it to twist and turn more than usual.

Chris, last year someone on here (UTRaB I think) did that 10k in P&D as a solo 5k into a parkrun, worked for him.

LMH 20 miler every week and a decent block of 60+ miles definitely stands your friend in good stead for a strong marathon.

I'm going to try to sneak an hour in when the wife gets back from work later 😬😀

Fighting fit here, just need a few decent nights' sleep really and being back at home should help with that. Did a quick 2x2k MP and it felt ok-ish but pulse was a bit high even on such short intervals. If it's this hot and sweaty on Sunday I'll be in trouble.

Mind you, if I run that fast I'll be in trouble anyway :-)

What I wouldn't give for some warm, dry weather at the moment jda...........this weekend last year we had a lovely mini-heatwave (it's my birthday and I raced a 10k which is why I remember it so well) but the forecast isn't that good unfortunately. I bet the 15th will be the hottest day of the year so far - though I won't complain if it is.

Yep mini heatwave this time last year, it was in the mid 20s and blazing sun for the Sheffield half! Glad to hear you're fighting fit JDA, hope you smash it!
