Good point, McG. I've got the sub 35 barrier to get through as well

I may join you. Not done 5km since May 2014 so no idea what sort of time I can do.

no park runs here but I've found a 5k route took me 37.24 today, so a starting point for me. I would like to aim to do ParkRun when I'm home next Saturday but not sure if I'll manage it.

Hi I will be aiming for this later in the year after VLM. Need to shave 39 secs off my PB. Good to encourage each other.

I like the idea of mini goals - 31 minutes is a good one to aim for, thanks McG

I'm in! Have always wanted a sub-30 5K. My parkrun PB is 32.04 and I'm nowhere near that at the moment so there's a long way to go. I intend to run parkrun as many times as I volunteer this year so you never know, I might just get there.

I have 2 barriers, the first is actually getting to parkrun and the second is the magic 30minutes. I've not managed either since December 2013

Is there a 5k route you can run, RH? Then just track your improvements over the year. It will still count
