Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done :-) I got 1:41:36 at Brighton half a few weeks ago it was off the back of an 11 mile training run the pervious day. So hoping to achieve a sub 1:40 at Hastings next Sunday with a better taper and a bit of luck.

Good luck on Sunday, touche turtle. to get 1:41:36 off an 11 mile training run is quite impressive. Well done! You'll get there in double digit territory on Sunday when you're rested.

This thread seems a bit quiet, anyone targetting an autumn half in this time range? I'm hoping to do one in a fortnight, not a fast course and haven't run one since 1990... figure high 1:30s but nervous about pushing it all the way. Barely got up to 30mpw and that's about all I can handle these days. Did one over distance run the other day, 14.6 miles which is the furthest I've ever run. Left my shins a bit dodgy but I think I've managed to get that back under control. Did a session of 2x2M on a canal towpath at just under 7' mile pace and really want to see that improve.

So you are... then the Standalone which I think I ran a few times in the 90s. Good luck anyway.

I am absolutely nowhere near this at the mo, but if I can stay injury-free and keep the training consistent they maybe I'll get a bit closer in the spring.

Good luck Ulric and HoD.
