OK so I am late to the party but as an avid Newt Jingler I should be able to start something. Perhaps it will be tidy (as in properly tidy not just move things from one part of the room to another) my study.

Yes I shall start Operation Tidy Study. I will do a ten minute tidy every day.
Starting with the pile of newspapers behind me. I'll report back tomorrow!

Right. We have a fine selection of new things being started. And it sounds like most of them ARE being started rather than just thought about.

We have a new job, and new hobbies: Lizzie with her Archery classes. Purps has signed up for a sign language course, Mrs. Jigs is planning her cottage garden. Jambomo is cooking more.

Several running and fitness related starts - hills and weight training, yoga, a different sort of cycling, swimming lessons, kayaking, Pilates - all these call for progress reports.

We have two tidy-ers: Fleecy has sprung in to action already, the Baroness has committed top ten minutes a day...

September holidays and excursions. McGoo is off to the previously unvisited Isle of Mann - must be one of the few bits of the UK that IS new to him!

Then there are behavioural things that will make us happier - being more positive, saying no. It's worth checking in with progress, being able to write down 'I DID this' takes you a step beyond starting I think.

Training Kez the hearing dog not to eat poo and Tomahawk Mike finishing his book are unclassifiable but no less valid!

I have no idea why I gave the Isle of Man two 'n's. I went there often enough as a child to be able to spell it!

My job itself won't be starting until much later in the month, but project new job did start yesterday with the preparation phase that involves a thorough all over house clean and tidy, and finding accommodation for myself in the new city where I'll be working. As well as finding all the documentation I need for the security clearance procedure (that actually started before the beginning of the month, but there are more stages of it still to go).

I contacted about three letting agents, cleaned the bathroom within an inch of its life, and made great inroads into the mountain of laundry that had accumulated.

I don't think I'm going to get much done today though, as I have a Tri this afternoon. I may do more laundry this morning.

If the Isle of Man is referred to without the 'Isle of' bit, it is actually called 'Mann' with two Ns

OK September is a busy month as we get shop ready for the unmentional name.

But will think I'll get my clutter under control mainly the paperwork. Statements etc lots of these are online now.

As a bonus keeping tabletops clear keeping just what should be there. I haven't that many

I haven’t taken pictures but today I made some tuna and sweet corn pasta for lunches during the week and some chicken, avocado and tomato bagels for breakfast next week. Nothing groundbreaking but worked from a recipient and better than my usual bought in fare πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Other new things, T7 starts junior school on Tuesday and I have to do packed lunches (thanks for the reminder, Jambomo)
