Well there's no point in forcing it, V-rap. 'I'm not sure I've got capacity for any new commitments.' is quite telling in your case.
You HAVE upped your running and racing in recent months - and quietly got stuck into regular weight training AND got down to race weight AND handed in your notice..... so perhaps you are excused 'til spring and Newts time! xxx

I haven't got space in my head or strength in my body to take on anything else either!

You are also excused, D! You are FAR too busy to take on anything new. There is always new stuff on your farm, the land is like that! And anyway you've started AND continued lots of new things over the past 12 months. Yes, definitely excused!

It only just qualifies as technically it doesn't start until the end of the month, but I have splashed out and signed up for an online running technique programme delivered by James Dunne. It's a couple of months long with weekly video meetings - I have to get someone to film me running...The only pain is the meetings are 7.00pm Wed which rather clashes with RR so we'll see how it goes.

I might have another thing... there's a new gym opened here. It's 'only' £18.99/month.

Gym membership may end up being my newt jingle, since by then I'll have time to waft from one exercise class to another all day and get value for money from the subscription.

It's almost half the price of my 'subsidised' work gym

:O
One of our local gyms is a similar price, but it would be challenging to get £18.99-worth of use out of it, though that may change because there's a new and quite hardcore running club associated with it now.

Right, well, I've done my first weights session for ... a while.
Not going to bore all here with details as I'll blog it as per - suffice to say 40 mins including activation/mobilisation exercises, 5 main exercises inc upper and lower body with slightly more emphasis on upper.
It won't count as a proper start unless I do another session on Wednesday.
