WA
I've made a start on stuff - booked a patio person to give us a quote; booked a painter and decorator for the same reason; instructed an estate agent to sell our rental property (the tenants moved out because they have bought their own house- we won't be making anyone homeless); used a voucher to order one of those recipe box things to give it a go; signed up to an adult theatre workshop; started knitting a toy for my nephew's birthday; booked a holiday It doesn't sound much but honestly we can faff about for years not getting anything done and just talking about it, so to have things and people booked is quite a thing!

I've spoken to the local fencing contractor (I think it must be the same chap who took a look at our fence requirements a few months ago when he did a neighbour's fence that adjoins our garden then never got back to us with a quote) because I'd like our fences not to need to be held up by an arrangement of old climbing ropes and an anchor point in the lawn this winter. Wondering about the potential for using the old fence panels as weed suppressant material, because at the moment I'm eyeing up everything as potential weed suppressant material.

That sounds like loads to me WA! Well done
I did send the meter readings yesterday, first time in ages, probably over a year. It took seconds, makes me wonder why I procrastinated for so long ..

Hello all. I’ve been busy starting things. I started my island bagging adventures with a trip to Colonsay. That included a folkie festival which might have started something. There’s been much sea swimming which is not new but a moonlit skinny dip with my 7 holiday housemates was new.

The completion of episode 8 (Pages 158-176) Bloom continues his walk. He calls at the Burton restaurant, but the men in there are disgusting eaters so he carries on, going into Davy Byrnes pub for lunch instead. Nosey Flynn is serving. He orders a gorgonzola sandwich, with mustard, and glass of Burgundy. After his meal, he goes to the toilet and is discussed in his absence by Davy and Nosey - they say he is a good man who never gets drunk and that he is a freemason (I think!!).
After leaving the bar, Bloom helps a blind man cross the road and ponders on what life would be like without sight. He thinks about his relationship with Molly, how it was in the beginning and how it is now. Bloom panics when he spots Boylan - Molly's tour manager and her lover - and he goes into the museum to avoid him.
