Slow Cooker/Crock Pot

Muttley Sep 2022 11:17pm, 7 Sep 2022 1,823 posts	0 Muttley An Instant pot is a pressure cooker first of all. It has a slow cooker function but it is said to be not brilliant. Some Instant Pots can also air fry. I have an Instant Pot and it's fab.

Muttley Sep 2022 8:47am, 8 Sep 2022 1,824 posts	0 Muttley Yeah, I reckon slow cookers are not what they're cracked up to be. The pressure cooker does the same meals but in a different way. I like mine and it produces great results but nonetheless, there's no substitute for a casserole that's spent a couple of hours bubbling away and gently cooking down at the back of the oven.

I fond mine really useful for having tea ready on time when I don't have cooking time available just before. You do need to avoid too much liquid though as it can get a bit bland and watery if you're not careful.
